Custom designed chromatography media
Custom Designed Media (CDM) is a collaborative service for industrial customers to develop custom designed chromatography media. We work closely with users to design, manufacture, test and deliver media for large-scale purification of certified quality. The end product is either exclusive to one customer or made available to the general market.
- When specific customer requirements for media are outside the normal range, a custom-designed product may be the most cost-efficient solution
- CDM works closely with the customer to develop product design and specifications
- Functional evaluation of prototypes is done by the customer
- Media developed by the CDM group can be delivered in scale up to thousands of liters
- Custom-designed media is developed and produced under the same strict quality assurance system as standard BioProcess media
Situations when CDM is required:
- To improve selectivity, resolution, throughput or linear flow in a specific application
- A new affinity media is required
- The customer has an in-house developed ligand
CDM offers customers any chromatography media packed in any columns, from HiTrap™ and Tricorn™ to FineLINE Pilot 35™ and FineLINE 70™ columns. We also offer custom-made packs of media for products only available in pre-packed columns. GE Healthcare has offered collaborative services for more than 20 years and has worked with most large biopharmaceutical companies, developing products for every chromatographic technique.
