About the prize
At GE and Science we believe in rewarding the best young scientists from around the world.
This is why we want to hear from you if you've been awarded a Ph.D. in molecular biology in 2008.
Submit a 1,000 word essay on your work before August 1, 2009, and you could be the winner of the prestigious GE & Science Prize for Young Life Scientists. There are also four regional prizes awarded for North America, Europe, Japan and the rest of the world. The winners will:
- fly to Stockholm for the award ceremony
- meet the Nobel Laureates in Medicine
- have their Ph.D. profiled in the online version of Science
- receive $25,000 (Grand Prize winner) or $5,000 for the regional prize winners
