Enzyme Fragment Complementation for cAMP detection

HitHunter cAMP and cGMP Assays utilize an Enzyme Donor (ED) peptide conjugated to either cAMP or cGMP. This Enzyme Donor (ED) fragment is capable of reassociation with the enzyme acceptor (EA) to form an active beta-galactosidase (ß-gal), but it is also recognized by an anti-cAMP / anti-cGMP antibody.

In the assay, the anti-cAMP antibody is optimally titrated to bind the Enzyme Donor (ED) conjugate and inhibit the beta-galactosidase formation. It also enables the measurement of competing intracellular cAMP and the impact of other ligands and binding proteins on the complementation pathway.
